Estate Design

The historic estate design pictured on the home page is a new construction project with the combination of old world charm and sustainable green building design. The historic architecture is efficient, spacious and sprawls over thousands of square feet. The historic architecture project is rich in high-tech design features, including several security systems, sound systems, electronic systems, lighting systems, and green building design. The property site slopes downhill and requires the project to be stabilized by large concrete retaining walls. The exterior railings and custom glazing are elaborately chamfered and gives the residence a sense of historic drama. The historical residence is a private retreat, with many rooms, including a fully equipped professional gym, poolroom, sauna, double steam shower, kitchen, and outdoor gardens. Interior walls and ceilings have hand crafted wood paneling, custom designed period lighting, with heavy moldings outlining the rooms. There is an antique pool table and a hidden passage way behind the beautiful solid wood arched bookcases. The ceiling design in the gym has a hand painted mural and the walls are mirrored with fluted columns between each mirror. The widow treatments are period design, but are concealed behind the ceiling’s heavy molding and are remotely lowered when the sun is high. There is a second window treatment that can be electronically lowered to darken the room for movie viewing. The movie screen is also concealed in the ceiling paneling above the fireplace, and can be remotely lowered. The traditional woodworking and detailing are exquisitely hand crafted by expert craftsmen. The historic architecture is a gentle transition between the past and today’s lifestyles
